2011 started very well with a few drinks with Phil, Alfie, Polly, Mum and Dad with only the adults drinking and the kids eating chocolates from the one tin of Quality Street that we had for christmas. Once the fireworks had finished by the London eye which were very colourful this year and lasted approx 10 minutes, we ventured out into the garden and let up some lanterns to celebrate the New Year. The sky was clear and there were lots of lovely lanterns already lightening up the sky. We had three to let up into the sky which the kids loved to be involved in. We watched them fly high in the sky until we lost them!
The clear dark sky of 01/01/11 was full of bright lights from the lanterns and fireworks that people had let off to wish everybody a Happy New Year and to send wishes to people who are no longer with us but up in heaven watching over us.
