A cold day again today, it was a struggle to get out of bed as ususal! -3.0 in the car on the way to work, but a lovely bright sun which makes it hard to see as it is so low in the sky.
I had this left on my desk about Managers are heavier drinkers than their counterparts. That means John my boss drinks more than me, blimey thats good going John! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-12297128
Shoes of the day: Braided straw and wood platform with polka-dot bow, France 1940-1945.
"Fun, Food and Forgiveness" is what a good family is all about, a quote from Radio 2 this morning!
Spoke to my little brother Tom this evening who lives in Birmingham, we are hopefully paying them a visit on Saturday, which will be nice as we have not seen them since christmas.
Watched 'One Born Every Minute' which is a documentry about a labour ward its really good.
http://lifebegins.channel4.com/ It makes me feel a little strange as i never experienced giving birth naturally, so i can not relate to how the woman are feeling, not sure whether i had it easy or not with a C-section due to the 6 weeks recovery time after! But i guess i will never know as i'm done with having children got one of each, and thats enough thanks and getting to old for all that now!
I was sent a link on facebook with the 'New In' Shoe line from Schuh. These look fun and funky, i might have to take a look to add to my collection. At least with shoes they will always fit regardless of your weight going up and down. Buying shoes is always a good bet to make you feel better!!!!http://www.schuh.co.uk/irregular-choice/womens-pink-irregular-choice-tea-and-cakes-bunny-bow/1158593570

Another football match cancelled for Alfie, due to the pitch in Chinnor being a little frozen! But this does not make Alfie to happy as he has his kit on ready. Instead we are watching Andy Murray making a mess of his tennis game in Australia. 2 sets down he is surely not going to make a come back now and Novak Djokovic is playing a far better game than Murray.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/9380511.stm Its over and Djokovic beat Murray in three straight sets, bad luck Murray maybe next time!
Its turning out to be a nice sunny day but still cold, Phil has taken Alfie over to play football before lunch then, this afternoon we have football on TV (Tottenhan V Fulham),what joy such an exciting life a lead! Football or Ironing to be done for school tomorrow?
Did not do either of the above as Doddy came and paid us a visit, which was great to see her. Then Polly and i baked some biscuits.
A question: Why is it when men do things around the house they expect a medal for it? Phil kindly sorted out the kitchen after dinner then made the beds, but in the process he put Doddy's Avon in the recycler and the tin which i was keeping for putting the biscuits in, thanks Phil for all your help!
And also stop taking the piss out of me for doing this Blog!!!!!
Alfie and Phil are not to happy as Tottenham lost against Fulham 4-0, never mind there is always next weekend!
A few photo images of my day!
Polly having her photo taken for her passport. I dont think so!
How would life be if i were a teddy? Not a care in the world, no worries, always getting cuddles and love and able to sit around and watch the world go by!

My roses are nearly finished so brought myself some lilies.

I know that i am not at work today but today's shoe's/boots are really nice, colourful and different, i could actual see myself wearing these not for every day but on special occasions.
Metallic leather and snakeskin "Little Peacock platform stiletto boot, Jan Jansen, 2010.
Took the kids to school at 8.30 and it is so so so very very cold, when i got home i could not feel my toes and my face felt like i had a face mask on as i could not move it, due to it being so frozen.
Needed to go to Thame for a Passport Form for Polly as her passport runs out in April, and to deliver some Avon books to some new customers. In the car it said it was -1.5 at 10am not going to be putting the woolly gloves and hats away just yet, and the weather forcast says its going to stay like this over the weekend, lovely!
Just got home and doing the hoover and just throught i forgot to get a passport form in Thame, I would forget my head if it was not screwed on. Oh well will have to get one next week as cannot get one from the Chinnor post office which is a pain due to it not being a main branch.
My Poinsettias is looking that it is ready to be recycled but when i took it off the kitchen window sill, it looks like it has some new shots, so i think i will take off the old leaves and leave it in the window and see what happens to it, just must remember to water it now and again!
Just watching 'Loose Woman' while having a sandwich and they are doing some Pole Dancing, which looks fun and good excerise, it would beat the gym any day, but not sure what Phil would think if i asked for a pole to be put in the house?
Well done to Andy Murray he has just got through to his second Australian Open Tennis Final, lets hope he does it this time.

Its so cold today the weather forcast has even said we might have a layer of snow today.
I have worn my new dress today that i brought in Monsoon at the weekend and have been told how nice it looks, thanks Michelle!
Today's shoes are a little high for me: Sky-high metallic cut-out platform withh clear plastic upper, Emilio Pucci, 2007.
Today has gone very quick at work, but still can not get the VAT to balance!
The traffic coming home from Wycombe was a nightmere tonight, but at least the traffic lights have gone from the bottom of Chinnor Hill where the new roundabout is, its only taken them about 4 months or so!
Got to school to pick up the kids from afterschool just in time for 5.30.
We were lucky we did not get any snow, but its bloody cold!

Had a dream last night nothing saucy or rude, but it had a guy in from work called Kelly who is a good friend, and i have known him since i have worked at Hands. (13 Years)
Anyway the part of my dream that i can remember was that i was out shopping with Kelly and we were buying clothes i had picked out a bright red shirt for him to try on, which he proceeded to try on in the shop and i tried on a bright red dress but i went into the changing room and that was it i woke up, when i told Martha at work she said that seeing a colour in a dream means something, so i looked on the internet and found this interesting site:
http://www.dreammoods.com/dreamthemes/colors.htm
Today's shoes: A Suede day shoe with decorative coutouts and silk pompom, France, 1680's.
These look very used in their day!
Its only 10am i think today is going to be one of those days that goes so slow. Come on 5pm!
3pm: Why does the Year End Vat never balance!

Red is an indication of raw energy, force, vigor, intense passion, aggression, power, courage, impulsiveness and passion. The color red has deep emotional and spiritual connotations. Consider the phrase "seeing red" to denote anger. Alternatively, the color red in your dream indicates a lack of energy. You are feeling tired or lethargic.
Red is also the color of danger, violence, blood, shame, rejection, sexual impulses and urges. Perhaps you need to stop and think about your actions.

What a slow day so please to be home! Had an interesting evening listening and watching Polly singing along to Justin Bieber on Phil's laptop. She was explaining to me that she was going to sing some of the song "baby" to her boyfriend Jude at school, as she is going to ask him to marry her, this is because she kissed him the other day in afterschool club, so that means she has to marry him! Its so sweet but a little worrying as to how young they are picking things up about boys and girls, well you know what i mean!
Another day over and can not be bother to make a drink so going straight to bed!

25th January 2011
Today started off well, kids got sorted ready for school with no fussing.
At the weekend Phil and Polly sorted out Alfie's garage so it could go around my mum and dad's house for Freddy (My Nephew) to play with on a Tuesday when they look after him. Got it down stairs to put in the car and Alfie and Polly started playing with it really nicely, so they can play together with out arguing!
Just having a cup of tea before picking Alfie and Polly up from school and then taking Polly to her swimming lesson. Finished ironing, down hoovering just need to delivery my Avon books, but i feel so cold, not looking forward to going outside, wish i could stay in doors with hot water bottle cuddling up on the sofa! (I Wish)
Saw this on a friends facebook status which i liked and is very true:

"It's said that everlasting friends can go long periods of time without speaking and never question their friendship. These types of friends pick up like they spoke just yesterday, regardless of how long it has been or how far away they live. And, they don't hold grudges. They understand that life is busy, but you will always love them.....♥
Had a very up and down today not sure why, just glad its nearly bed time and tomorrow is another day!

This morning on Radio 1 they are talking about a 'Booze Calculator'
http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/12254668
This works out how last nights drinking could affect your wallet and waistline. I tried it for what i drank over the weekend and it was scary! Give it a try but it could put you off drinking for life, but i guess that is the idea!
Not feeling great today, tummy playing up (ladies stuff), need to be at home with hot water bottle, rather than at work!
Today's shoes not sure about the colour! Zebra-print pony-skin "Zita" platform sandal with zip closure, Jimmy Choo, 2010.
Left work early today, but only missed a couple of hours!
Lets hope things are better tomorrow, as ironing and Avon to delivery. Anybody reading this Blog and would like to have a browse at an Avon book please just let me know and i can drop one off for you.
Early night, good night all. x

Sunday here again, and i had a nice treat Phil, Alfie and Polly made pancakes and we had breakfast in bed. Just had to make sure that the kids did not get honey all over my bed cover.
Once we actual got up i had a very productive morning, put dinner in slow cooker for tea time then cooked tomorrows dinner also, how organised am i , this is very unlike me what is going on?
Polly has found some christmas tree decorations which she started colouring in before christmas, so she has decided to finish them off ready for next christmas, we must put them somewhere safe so we remember were they are, that will be interesting!
Before christmas i started reading a book, i used read alot but now i find i don't have time as by the time its bedtime i am ready for sleep straight away, or i start a book but never finish it so i am going to make a big effort to start reading again, so the book i started in December was Gok Wan Autobiography so last night i started to read it from were i left it back in 2010. I also started another book in December as i heard them advertising it on Radio One 'Fearne and Holly, The Best Friend Guide' I will pick this one up after i have finished Gok Wan 'Through Thick and Thin'
Sunday night nearly over and another weekend comes to an end. Finishing off the weekend with a Black Russian (Vodka, Tia Maria and coke) and watching Come Dine With Me, how strange are they!
Its 9.30pm and the christmas vodka has all gone only a little bit of Tia Maria left then is all the christmas drink finished. Not good, i need my mum and dad to go to France and pick us up some cheap bottles of wine from Super U!
Have a good week!

22nd January 2011
The weekend again, where did this week go, it soon will be February and we will be asking ourselves what happened to January it's so scary how time flies when you are having fun!
Been out today with a good friend. Yes off i went to Wycombe to purchase some pj's for Alfie, but the sizing for children is a pain its 7-8 or 9-10 which will be far to big. Managed to get a couple of pairs of pj's for Alfie plus a few items for me!
It's true what they say a little retail therapy makes you feel a whole lot better, which is why by the end of the day Martha had forgotten about her crap week at work and me i felt better about myself as i found some nice clothes to buy from Monsoon with my vouchers which Martha brought me for christmas, thanks Martha for the vouchers and an enjoyable day x I have fallen in love with Monsoon clothes thanks to Martha, i never even used to look in these sort of shops as 1) they would never fit over my huge boobs and 2) they are too expensive, but to my happiness they go to my size and fit over my boobs and they are a little more expensive but worth what you pay for it!

Monsoon at the moment are giving you the chance to trade in your old clothes which you no longer wear and get something back for your trouble. Take in any used Monsoon clothes and you'll get £10 off when you spend £50 or more. Your used clothes will be recycled or resold, making for an ideal way to clear your wardrobe of some unwanted clothes and get some money off new ones at the same time. This is a very good and sensible idea, well done Monsoon!
Alfie had a good day at the cinema with his friend Tom for his birthday, Polly had stagecoach then Phil took her swimming, so we finished off the evening with a chinese takeaway, (what happened to the diet i hear you say, its the weekend give me a break, i will start again on Monday) cannot wait for a our new chinese takeaway to open in Chinnor as it's such a pain having to drive to Risborough.
It's 9pm and Alfie and Polly are both in bed asleep, so just having a glass of wine watching a film called Inception but i am lost already!
Happy Weekend!

21st January 2011
Woke up this morning and to our surprise it started lightly snowing, that was not on the BBC weather forecast for this morning!
Off to school then off shopping to Aylesbury, oh what joy! I am off to Aylesbury armed with my shopping list, bags and my mum. The only reason i went to the big Tesco's in Aylesbury was for some PJ's for Alfie as all of his are to small and he keeps moaning. But guess what they had none in his size, thats just great a wasted journey! The time wasted driving to Aylesbury, then walking up and down the isle's as i can never remember where everything is, then spending £200 on food with no drink or anything nice to eat only the same things week after week, i must get more adventurous with my cooking! By the time we got home it was 12.30, as we popped into TK MAX just in case they had any PJ,s but no nothing there either. So all this reminds me why i started doing my shopping online, its so much easier and only for a £5.50 delivery charge. Thanks Tesco's i will back online next week!
Waiting for Polly to finish school and it is freezing! Out she comes with a smile on her face ready to have a run about in the playground before going home. Her best friends Charlotte and Grace then inform me that they are coming over for a sleepover and to watch "Shrek Forever After, The Final Chapter" this is first i've heard of these plans, what do they talk about at school, all these plans they must make between themselves, how sweet is that! I will have to sort it out as i will never hear the last of it from Polly, but not sure about the sleepover Charlotte and Grace but you are very welcome to come over and watch the DVD, not sure i would cope with 3 five year old girls all night!
Alfie has also got lots of plans for his 8th birthday party, 2 boys and 3 girls from his class are aparently coming over to play games then they are also having a sleepover according to Alfie,we will have to talk him around to changing these plans, we have until the 6th March, so wish us good luck as we are going to need it, as once Alfie has something in his head that he wants to do its hard to change that!
Phil's home from work with a bottle of red wine and a bunch of pink roses for me (thats why he was late), but what have i done to deserve these? They are lovely, thanks Phil xx
Polly just gone off to bed with Phil, Alfie around mum and dad's house still, so i am sitting writing my Blog with a nice glass of wine. A pleasant finish to the day, bring on the weekend with lots more wine and fun! But lets not forget i must go shopping to Wycombe for some PJ's for Alfie.
20th January 2011
Yes, it was a little frosty this morning, it was -0.5 in the car on the way to work, but the sky looked colourful and fun.
Cannot wait for the work to finish on the road out of Chinnor towards Wycombe, this is due to them building lots and lots houses on the old site of the Cement Works.
This factory was built in the 1920's to produce cement. In the 1940's workers cycled from Haddenham, Princes Risborough and the neighbouring villages to make up a work force of 140 at Chinnor. This 178-acre site was closed at Christmas 2000 as the chimney emission levels were unacceptable, and the cost of upgrading the systems too high. The chimney was finally demolished by explosions on the 29th January 2008.

Pay day today its always on the 20th of the month but this one always seems a long one from the 20th December.
Got my pay slip thanks John, i always open it hoping that he has made a mistake or i might have a nice little extra thank you bonus, but no, i should be so lucky! That reminds me of a song:
"I Should Be So Lucky" is a pop–dance song performed by Australian singer Kylie Minogue. The song was written and produced by Stock Aitken Waterman for Minogue's debut album Kylie (1988). (How sad am i)
Another day nearly over, just Alfie and Polly to put to bed, my turn with Polly tonight. Had a very interesting conversation with Polly tonight, she asked if me and Phil will get married, i said maybe one day (when i win the lottery), she then told me that she couldn't decide who she was going to marry but at the moment it is between Hayden and Jude who are in her class at school. Big decisions as Hayden is closer to her age but she said she has kissed Jude so she has to marry him! I just don't understand she is only 5 what is going on! Good night Alfie and Polly sweet dreams xxx

You will be please to know that i did remember the biscuits and they all said that they were very very nice!
Just had a text from First Direct to say that our remortgage has been completed today, Yipee at last! Goodbye Bank of Ireland and thank you for the last 18 years of service, but its was time for a change.
Tonights sky is very clear with by the looks of it a full moon. Could be a cold one tomorrow morning, get your ice srcappers out. Im so lucky as my car is in the car port so i dont have to worry about that.
Pay day tomorrow, hooray but as soon as it goes into my account it goes out of my account, but on what i always wonder: food shopping, petrol, kids activties but will there enough for me to have a shopping spree to buy yet another pair of shoes? Probable not, lets just hope we get a pay increase in April!

18th January 2011
It is now 10.50 on Tuesday morning and i have already been for a walk around the village on this nice sunny, crisp January morning. I have done the shopping, so i have the ingredients for baking and i have also managed to do the hoovering and the dusting in a nicky fashion!
Making a cup of tea then off to bake biscuits for the girls at work to keep them quiet for a while! Yes girls i am actual making them so beware tomorrrow and look forward to my nice peanut butter cookies ( with extra large peanuts) and if you are lucky John i might make you some ginger nuts. P.S Don't work to hard today!

Peanut butter mixture in the fridge for half an hour so on the with ginger nuts!
Yum Yum the first batch of peanut butter cookies and they smell and taste delicious, will they make into work?
Its 2pm and i have finished my baking day i have made two lots of peanut butter cookies and one batch of ginger nuts and have tried an almond cake which i have not made before so we will have to see what it is like. So have an hour left to do my Avon order, only thing not done so far is the ironing, oh well not to worry it will be there for another day.
All i have to do now is to make sure that i remember to take the tins of biscuits into work!
A very good productive day and i have made lots of very edible biscuits x

17th January 2011
Another wet and dull morning, why does it aways rain in the mornings! The kids get so wet walking to school. The traffic was a nightmare getting into Wycombe this morning it took me nearly 45 minutes to get to work, so late again sorry John.
Feeling very positive today, had a good weekend and feel that is time to get on track with my endless fight with trying to lose weight and getter fitter. With a little help from Alfie who said yesterday ' Mum when are you starting your getting fit program' as i said to him the other day how important it is for him to keep up his sports, so i guess i should take a leaf from my own advise to Alfie! (I can do it i must keep telling myself)
Had a junk email today, i do wonder how people get your email address, but it was very interesting see link:http://www.lovefood.com/journal/features/10902/3-foods-that-will-improve-your-life-in-2011.
Sitting at work and wishing myself into the beautiful picture which is on our calender for Jan it,s a place called Balmaha in Loch Lomand, Scotland.
My desk calender has got a very unusal shoe for today it is a Suede laser-cut "Simple Brook" bootie with a stingray heel, as descrided by Workman Publishing, New York 2009. I guess i could wear them but where would i wear them too?
I promised the girls at work i would make them some peanut butter cookies for them today but i didn,t remember until last night at 9 when i looked in the cupboard for something and saw the jar of nearly empty chunky peanut butter, so this is my first job of the day tomorrow after going shopping for the ingredients! (Sorry Girls)
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-12192050 Interesting link on the BBC News website today saying how many mothers are under so much pressure to appear like perfect parents that they cover up how much television their children watch or what they cook their families, according to a survey. I agree you do feel that you are failing as parents sometimes as your child may play on their DS's a bit longer than you would like or that they ask for the same thing to eat over and over again.
Just a message from my brother Dan, saying that he had read my blog and didn't realise how interesting his sisters life is, ha ha Dan, just read and learn! xxxxx
The kids went to Harry's 2nd Birthday party after school, they had a fun evening with lots of games and dancing.
Just made a list of the things i need to do tomorrow :
Shopping, bake biscuits, ironing, sort avon out, hoovering and go for a walk! Lets see how many i can manage?

Come on Chinnor U8's football team you can beat Haddenham!
A very windy day for the boys first football game in their new league, the pitch was so muddy at Haddenham, the poor boys really struggled. They played great but unfortunately lost both their matches. One bit of excitment was when Tom kicked that ball and it hit one of the mums on the head, which made the team giggle, not so good for the mum, but she should have seen it coming and moved.
On the way back home we went via Thame as Alfie had some homework to do which involved taking photos of Tudor buildings, as this is there topic at school at the moment. There are quite a few in Thame so he managed to get some good photos. I think we are a week late with this homework but never mind better late than never!

The Thatch in Thame a very nice place to eat.
Why do children not understand if they just sit and do there homework when asked, it will get done in no time at all, but today it took Phil nearly two hours to get Alfie to do a couple of sentences for his beavers homework, we had tears, shouting and all for what?
After this littlle episode we had a very lazy afternoon we watched the final Shrek film on DVD which Polly got for christmas, then watched Tottenham V Man Utd on Sky. Alfie has really got into watching football, it could have alot to do with Phil, but its lovely watching his expressions and listening to his running commentary about the game and his views about what Harry Rednap should be doing, it ended 0-0 which leaves Tottenham at 5th in the league, but puts Man Utd back on top. I am not a lover of watching football but you get used to it and i have actually got quite into it!
Started reading a friends blog today which was very good with lots of lovely photos of her family and her surroundings, keep it up Gemma. She mentioned that she started one last year but never kept it up, so she thought she would start it up again lets hope that she keeps it up this time as she has a talent for photgraphy! This gives me an incentive to not give my blog up, but you never know i might go the same way that Gemma did first time round, i will try not i promise myself. 'I must make time for my Blog each day so not to get behind'! Lets go for it, i can do it i just need to stop sitiing on facebook for so long.
Treated myself to some Daffadils yesterday, lets hope they do the trick!

Saturday morning! Will Alfie be in a good mood, will we get him some football boots and will Polly get up in time to go to Stagecoach?
Alfie did come home in a good mood and he did get a pair of football boots ready for his game in the morning if it takes place due to the weather. Alfie stayed in a good mood all day and has been very good. Polly woke up at 7.15, which is so typical as in the week she has been struggling to get up to get ready for school, then come Saturday she is awake and up watching the tv in Alfie's bedroom, i will never understand this childs sleep pattern !
So Polly got to stagecoach on time, this starts at 9.30 until 11 and they do singing, drama and dancing which is great for her as these are all the things she loves to do. In Sept hopefully she will go up to the next class as she will be 6 years old on the 1st Sept, and this will give her 3 hours on a Saturday morning doing an hour of each with the older children which will suit her down to the ground as she loves the company of older girls.
Visited Debbie, Charlotte and Jessica today which was great to catch up and i saw deb's lovely wedding photo, she looked beautiful in her stunning dress and the girls looked lovely to, it looked like they all had a great day, it was just a shame we could not join them on there special day.
Did a bit of shopping in Wycombe and came back to Chinnor and did more visiting as it is Richards birthday today so off we went armed with a card and a bottle of whiskey which i will probable get told off for buying him from louise but never mind, Happy Birthday have a drink on me!
Had a good day all round today, kids are in bed and i am just finishing off a bottle of wine, but having to share it with Phil. I must stop drinking but it tastes so nice, so sod it lets just have another glass, my liver should be used to it by now, i will give my liver a detox in the week and drink plenty of water ready for next weekend!

Its Friday and my day off to sort out the house, but first i need not sort out our mortgage, changing it from Bank of Ireland to First Direct. Why are things never easy and straight forward. The Bank of Ireland are being a pain staying my closure fee of £195 is going to take 10 days to clear but i paid it last Friday via my bank, i give up i just want it sorted. They said that it should be ok to complete on Monday it better be as getting fed up with it now but we will just have to wait and see!
Had a very productive morning tidied the house and got my house keeper to do my ironing! My house keeper is my 79 year old nan who pops down on a Friday for something to do and for some company.
I hate ironing but she said that she would do it as she enjoys ironing. Doing things like this makes her feel useful, so off she goes ironing away, but all she keeps saying is 'am i doing this right' i am not that fussy when it comes to ironing as long as it looks better than it did when it came out of the airing cupboard then its good to go for me and the kids, but phil's shirts might need alittle more ironing for phil's standards. Thank you very much nanny buck you have been a great help. Dont worry i have feed and watered her so she is very content, we are just watching cash in the attic before going to pick up the kids from school at 3pm.
Took Polly to Miss Denise's dance class which she has been going to since she was 3 years old and she love's it, she goes with Isla her cousin which is good as Isla goes to St Andrews school so it is nice that they can see each other every friday afterschool and have an interest that they can enjoy together. When i was polly's age or maybe a little older at christmas we always used to have a family christmas party and us children always used to sing a song and we all used to dress up play games and have lots of fun. One year me and my cousin Rachel sang 'i,m a little teapot' with actions of course (do you remember that Rachel) we were so sweet in them days what happened to us? ha ha only joking.
Alfie staying at nan and gramps again tonight lets hope he comes home tomorrow in a better mood than last saturday, as we need to take him shopping for more football boots as he say's the ones he has now are rubbing him but i am sure that i only brought them for him in Sept, so what is going on,this is going to cost us a fortune!
This day is coming to an end and we are sitting watching 'The Time Travellers Wife' which is so far a very good film, if you haven't seen it, its one to watch! Enjoying a nice bottle of Pinot Gringio or two, or three, no not really i will stop at two promise!
Nice evening and made lots of very exciting plans! xx

Another very dull day!
Not started off very good today as Alfie has decided that he has a headache and does not want to go to school, but is ok to still play on his DS, i dont think so! Tried talking to him about crying wolf as i didn't think that he was actual ill, i think that it was more to do with him being tired which you can not blame him for as it is the first full week back at school. I tried my best but nothing was moving him into action, so along comes nanny and grampy who take control for me, they are so much better at it than i am! So off i go to work late again for the second time this week and let mum sort out Alfie!
Got to work just after 9 should start at 8.30 but i have a good boss and as i clock in and out and only get paid for the hours i do its not to bad. When i got to work i applogised to my boss for being late and he said no worries i have got used to you turning up late! Thanks John.
Mum phoned just after 9.30 to let me know that Alfie had gone to school and all was good. Thanks mum what would i do with out you.We have decided not to mention why Alfie did not want to go to school, we will see if he mentions it first. Lets see what happens when he returns from afterschool club!
At work my desk is half surrounded with black boards so i have decided to brighten the board up with colourful photos to cheer things up for me and the office.
Alfie has started to enjoy playing chess which his grampy taught him last year, so i have had a chess board made for me at work which looks great, thanks guys at work, Alfie loves it and has already played a couple of games against phil and i think he won both of them, Alfie that is not phil!

Wednesday and work again today. I know i should not moan as i only work three days a week, then i have two days at home house working which do i perfer i ask myself! I do enjoy going to work as it gives me life outside of being a mother and housework, when i can be bothered to do it that is.
What is my work that i do three days a week, well i work at a Furniture Manufacturing company in High Wycombe. I started there on the 8th Decemder 1997 as a full time accounts assistant. I have been part time since i had Alfie then went back three days a week. I then had Polly and only went back two days a week but now that Polly is at school, i have gone back three days again which i think is a nice split between work and home.
I used to hate school could not leave quick enough at 16, but I went back to college one day a week and did a BTEC in Business & Finance, then AAT which is an accountancy course which made me part quailfied, i then started studing for the next step to become a Fully Qualified Accountant in CIMA, but due to me having Alfie i stopped after two years due to lack of time. I know people do do studing and look after a child but that was not for me, not strong enough! So thats it really i work three days a week doing the accounts plus many other varied jobs, which i really enjoy as it is all different and new challegenes for me.
At christmas the accounts department always have a secert santa present we all pick out of a hat in November time who we have to buy for, this year i had Chris which i think is the hardest person to buy for in the office (sorry chris but you are), anyway my present was a shoe calender and a neckless and a new pink mug for work which mentions something about shopping. These presents are very good as i like necklesses and i needed a new cup as the one i had been using had a chip on it and the shoe calender is great as i have a little shoe and boot fettish. Each day there is a new shoe with a description and date of when the show was on sale. The one for today was a little way out, not sure my type! What do you think?
Enough about work, its good to back in to a routine i know that sounds sad but it is, back at work, kids back at school with all there afterschool clubs, beavers, swimming and dancing which keeps them entertained for a bit longer after school finishes. Alfie has Beavers on a wednesday which he enjoys but he has come home with some homework tonight, they have to write a short prayer of thanksgiving which they will have to read to the rest of the group. We must help him do that or it will get forgotten about and it will be the night before, which is what happens in this house. That is one thing i must get better on making sure that Alfie does his home work for school, which is never easy. I never liked speaking out in front of people at school i hope Alfie is not the same, but he is a little shy like i used to be which does not help.
Well it is 10.30 and i am still up doing this Blog which is unlike me as i am normally in bed by now, how sad am i for a 37 year old!

I must get up for work but it is so dark outside surely its not getting up time already!
I am finding it so hard to get myself going in the mornings or come to think of it most of the day, i think i have that SAD condition. When i said this to Phil he just laughed and said get your fat lazy arse out of bed. I then looked on the internet and found out how common SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) is.
SAD is a type of winter depression that affects an estimated 7% of the population every winter between Sept and April, in particular during Dec, Jan and Feb.
Key Symptons are:
Alfie and Polly both go to afterschool club on a Monday were they have great fun. Alfie has football training after which starts at 5.30 so it is all a bit of a rush tonight. Phil does the cold bit and takes Alfie to training and i have the cosy bit taking Polly home and putting her to bed. Tonight Polly and I had a play around with my new camera taking photo's of each other which were not to bad apart from the ones of me, but i am being very brave and putting them on my blog not sure why but here it goes!
