5th March 2011

They woke up at 6.30am, then started to watch another Star Wars but they soon got fed up with that and started to have a pillow fight!

We soon all got up for breakfast ready for the rest of Alfie's friends to turn up at 11am!

11am and we have a room of very excited and full of energy children playing Wii games in the sitting room! HELP

They all had a great time and they worked up an appetite, so off to Top Wok in Risborough for an all you can eat buffet lunch which was very good and they kids ate the chinese out of Chicken on skewers, noodles and rice. Plus plenty of jelly and ice cream for pudding!

We took a cake for Alfie which they put a candle on, but the candle was more like a firework as you can see by Alfie's face!

I hope that Alfie and his friends had a nice time! How do teachers do it with a class full of 7/8 year olds, Good Luck to them that is all can say!

We were watching Let's Dance for Comic Relief tonight and the bit came on about what the money is being raised for. It said that only £5 would buy a mosquito net for a child. It was so sweet Polly went upstairs and bought down her purse with some money in and said is this £5 mummy for the children to buy a net. Thank you Polly that is a very kind thing to do, so we donated £5 on my phone, by texting the word "Yes" to 70005. If everybody just gave £5 it would make such a difference!

Got them both into around 8.30pm as they were both tried and they have a busy day again tomorrow.

wSitting watching TV with a well needed glass of wine or two before bed and another day of fun tomorrow.

8 years ago tonight i went into Stoke Mandeville Hospital ready for my c-section the next day! It was a very strange feeling i was in a ward with 3 other woman. One was due to have a c-section the next day like me, and the other two were in to be started off in the morning. We were on the maternity ward so in the next room there were newborn babies crying, which was really hard knowing that this was going to be us the next night!

4th March 2011

A very cold Friday, the Sun is shining but it is so cold  AGAIN!

Took the kids to school in the car and went straight off to see my brother in Longwick about going out Sunday lunchtime for Alfie's birthday. I thought we could all go to Frankie and Benny's in Aylesbury which is good for the kids food and very nice for the adults.

From there went to Aylesbury to see doddy who is not well at the moment. Took her shopping then had a sandwich with her and brought her some lovely flowers to cheer her up a bit as she is feeling very under the weather. I hope the Daffodils and Lillies did the trick. Will speak to her over to weekend to make sure that she is ok!

Alfie has Luke over for a sleepover tonight for his birthday they are playing on the playstation at the moment. I wonder what time they will be up to, will have to settle them both down watching a DVD in bed otherwise they will never go to sleep.

I got rid of Polly for the night as she would have been a nightmere with Luke her, but i bet she is having a nice night at Nanny and Grampys house instead.

Alfie and Luke had a good evening playing on the WII then started to build the lego that Luke had brought Alfie for his birthday. They also did some presentations on powerpoint about their friendship which i thought was very nice and an educational thing to do together!

Managed to get them in bed for 9.00pm watching Star Wars, but they did not go to sleep until around 10.30pm, lets just hope that they dont wake up to early!

3rd March 2011

Its World Book Day today, so the kids had to dress up as a character from a book. Alfie and Polly went as Where's Wally  & Wenda as they already have the outfits from last years Chinnor carnival.

It was so nice driving into work today as all the kids were dressed up going to school in West Wycombe, but there was one child that stood out he was wearing a huge yellow chicken oufit, which i think was great but very brave of him!

Shoes for today are Tradional slippers cast in brass, Korea 1900-1940

Looking at the BBC news site today, there was an article on how warm our homes should be which was very interesting. As it has been so cold over the last few days, in the evening when getting home from work i have been cranking up the heating to about 22 degree, but when we go to bed we always turn it down to around 18 degrees as long as we remember to do this i am terrible but Phil normally remembers! Which is an ok temperature to be living in.

1st March 2011

Happy 1st of March everybody lets hope spring is on its way soon, but it does not feel that way this morning its freezing walking the kids to school.

Loving the new album from Clare Maguire, its great just can not download it on my phone for some reason, will have to wait until Phil comes home as not very technical minded when it comes to things like that!

Hoovered, second lot of washing on, what to do with the rest of my day???  The first thing is to put the heating on as i am freezing, sorry phil, gas bill will not be going down if the weather stays like this!

Shoes for today are really nice, i know that i am not at work but took a look yesterday so thought i would share them with you all: I could see myself wearing these!

Polly came home tonight telling me that it was St Davids Day today and that spring is on its way. She said that we should have been wearing a daffodil today as her teacher Mrs Gordon had bought some in to school for them to draw and paint pictures of! St Davids day is always the 1st of March which is the day he died.

The Daffodil is one of the symbol of Wales along with the Leek which to me are an odd combination and what a beautiful looking flower it is, they can brighten up any room with there lovely yellow colouring!

Happy St Davids Day and Goodnight!
