Today is Alfie's 8th Birthday. He had a great day yesterday with his friends amd today we have plenty of things planned with the family.
But first Alfie has got to play football for Chinnor over the field only problem is that is kicks off at 9.30am so no lie on for us!
Alfie woke up at 7.15 this morning and he has opened his presents from us. He got some DSi games and the away Tottenham kit. He was very excited as money was coming out of each card that he was opening, he is now a rich little boy! We are up, dresseed had breakfast and it is 9.00am so on time!
Jason, Antonella, Alessia and Luca popped in after football to see Alfie on his birthday which was nice to see them as we have not seen them since the beginning of December.
Went to to Aylesbury and had lunch in Frankie and Benny's with mum and dad, nanny buck, Dan and Kate, Jessica and Freddie which was really nice, even if we were a littkle bit late, sorry guys!
Got home at around 3.30 then had a house full of family to celebrate Alfie's birthday which was really nice to see everybody. Alfie and Phil were watching Wolves V Spurs on TV so it was a very eventful afternoon with the match finishing at 3-3.I found these poems the other day which i really liked so i would like to share them with you! Reading this poem i really connected with the words that this woman was writing about her child growing up!
Where Your Heart Belongs
I also read this one which i think that every parent must feel!
The Love of a Child
The greatest love of all is be able to have a child’s love
To love your child and to have your child love you back
Waking each morning with your child’s eyes on you.
A child’s love keeps you believing in brighter days
Believing that dreams do come true
Giving you hope for a brighter future
Bring happiness to your heart
Bringing rainbows to every grey sky
Having the love and comfort of a child is the greatest gift in life
A child’s love is forever lasting
No matter how far you travel
No matter how far you travel
No matter how many miles away,
You will always have your child’s love in your heart
It will never go away
It will never go away
You can always feel your child’s presence in your heart
Your child’s home is in your heart
Their love is always here to comfort you.
Very well said Nicky, you did a great job with this post! I had the same emotions when I wrote Kaitlyn's post and it was just a year worth of pictures.
ReplyDeleteThere is no love like a mothers love for her children........I hope Alfie had a great 8th birthday!
