14th February 2011

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYBODY

Saint Valentine's Day, commonly shortened to Valentine's Day, is an annual commemoration held on February 14 celebrating love and affection between intimate companions. It is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines"). The day first became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.

!

Today is a very bright and sunny morning for Valentines Day 2011, a little cold only 3 degress in the car on my way to work. But it is so nice and starts the day of well with a bit of vibrant sunshine!

Got to work and was given a kiss and wished a Happy Valentines Day, thanks Paul Griffiths from the factory it made me smile!

Shoes for today are very fit for Valentines Day, they are Red satin platform stilettos with dainty ankle straps, Giuseppe Zanotti Design, 2009 from the Workman Publishing, New York.  Very nice i like these ones!

Had an email from lovefood.com with an article on The Five Most Seductive Foods.
If you're out to seduce someone this Valentines Day, maybe you've got plans to cook a sensual meal in flickering candlelight, or perhaps wine and dine them in an intimate restaurant. But can food really have an aphrodisiac effect on us?  Yes give the love of your life: 1) Seafood 2) Spices 3) Red Meat 4) Chocolate and 5) Fruit  read the following link to find out more.

Instead of sending the traditional chocolates how about sending dairy products shaped in hearts. It’s not a new concept, this method of moulding cheese into romantic forms, in fact the first recorded heart-shaped cheese can be dated back to 14th Century France; more specifically the Hundred Years’ War of 1337-1453. The divine taste of cheese won the men over, and the shape of the heart, said to have reminded them of angel wings which brought them the hope they craved during that desperate time.
Give cheese, not chocolates on Valentine's Day
This cheese looks scrummy, I wouldn't say no!

Alfie came home with a valentines card from a girl in his class that likes him, but he told me he does not like her he likes somebody else, how complicated and they are only 7 years old, 8 in a couple of weeks time.

At last Alfie got one i'm still waiting??  No card, but having my tea cooked for me Chicken Thai Green Curry yuummmmmmmmm very nice.

Valentines over for another year i hope you all out there had a nice day! x
